Culinary Arts/ Advanced Culinary Arts
Students who take Culinary Arts explore the fundamentals of cooking.These budding chefs develop basic skills and knowledge of food preparation, safe food and equipment handling, measurements, terminology, reading and understanding recipes, and proper nutrition. Advanced Culinary Arts students further their culinary skills and explore various cuisines and their histories from different parts of the world. This class covers topics in regional and international cuisines, recipe terminology, advanced cooking techniques, and consumer skills.
