At Buena Park Middle School we promote A.V.I.D. (Advancement Via Individual Determination) schoolwide which is a comprehensive approach to learning that focuses on preparing students for success in school and career. Stallion students are able to choose elective courses that allow them to explore new learning experiences through; Coding, Robotics, Spanish, Culinary Arts, Industrial Arts, STEM Sailing, and Leadership. We are thrilled to announce that our newly built performing arts building will further enrich our Choir, Band, and Theatre Arts classes. 

 

We also offer a rigorous Honors Academy program that challenges our gifted and high achieving students to go into great depths and complexity of the curriculum. 

 

Our school is equipped with the latest educational technology and classroom design to support high levels of learning. We use the #1 learning management system in North America called Canvas which is the most reliable online classroom tool and is used by 100% of Ivy League Universities in the US.

 

Additionally, we use an app called Hero for families to see how their students are doing with their positive behavior on campus. Students are recognized with points that are scanned to their account and used for privileges on campus. 

 

Parents can log into both of these apps to follow along with their student's progress at school.
